Because It Takes A Village, We’ve Got Each Other’s Backs

Village

A Community for Moms & Women with Online Therapy Practices to Network, Support & Empower One Another

You’re a therapist with an online practice, and you’re also a mom. Which means your limited time is so valuable.

When you left your community mental health job to start your own online practice, you couldn’t wait to have control over your career. Having an online therapy practice has given you the freedom to work with who you want, when you want, and the autonomy to design your practice and business in a way that works for you.

At the same time working for yourself has allowed you to have the flexibility that you need to be able to care for your family. You love being able to design your schedule in a way that meets yours and your family’s needs, and earning money on your terms.

And yet, while you would never want to go back to working for someone else again, you feel lonely.

Working from home feels amazing, but it also has felt isolating. You love having a solo practice, but you wish you had colleagues to connect with. People who understand what it is like to be a woman business owner, a clinician, and a mom.

You know that networking with other clinicians is an important part of growing your online practice, and building a support system, but where are you supposed to find them? Where are you supposed to search to build a working relationship with colleagues who support you and understand you?

What if you had a place where you could build a network and community with other women clinicians that you know and trust?

  • What if you could connect with other women practice owners who understand the unique challenges you face as a therapist and a mom?

  • What if you had a community you could come to for support, strategy and empowerment to build and grow your online therapy practice?

  • What if you could grow your referral network by building relationships with other women and mom clinicians who would think of YOU specifically when they had a client to refer out?

  • What if you had a network of other women therapists that you could count on to help cover your maternity or family leave?

  • What if you could feel confident in sending a referral to another therapist that you KNOW has openings?

  • What if you didn’t have to spend valuable time hunting and searching all over the internet for other clinicians that you trust and feel comfortable building networking relationships with?

Village is a community of women and mom clinicians with online practices that will give you the professional network you have been dreaming of.

VILLAGE

Village, a community that empowers women clinicians to build their practices in a way that serves them and their families.

MEET ASHLEY COMEGYS

When I was starting my online therapy practice other therapists and experts would tell me “you’ve got to network!” They would encourage me to let other providers know that I was building my practice and what I offered in case they had someone to refer out to me. But I had no idea where to find these people! Especially since I was literally across the country from some of the states I was building my practice in.

I’d randomly reach out to other therapists on Instagram to try and set up a virtual coffee date, hoping someone would maybe respond. Networking took a lot of effort and hunting that I didn’t have time for, and I didn’t have a community to easily access other clinicians who were desiring to build professional relationships like me.

As I have been supporting other mom clinicians in building their own online practices I found so many of them love the freedom and flexibility private practice gives them, but struggle with the loneliness and isolation of being on their own. They need a community of fellow women and mom clinicians who understand the challenges they experience as a mom and a therapist, and can support them in their business and their clinical work.

Out of this need Village was born.

I am passionate about supporting fellow women and mom clinicians to build online practices that give them the time freedom, flexibility and autonomy they crave. And Village is the community that can empower them to do so!

Together we are building a network of women therapists who aren’t in competition with each other, but instead are there to collaborate, celebrate and come together in support of one another.

Village is the place for all of us to come together as women, as moms, and as clinicians to connect, support and empower each other.

The Benefits of Joining Village

  • Connection with fellow mom clinicians with their own online therapy practices so that you don’t feel alone.

  • Confidence in the ability to refer clients out to competent providers with openings so that you feel less guilt about turning new clients away.

  • Ease in finding coverage for your practice for your maternity or family leave, so that you don’t have to stress about your clients, and can focus on yourself and your family.

  • Simplicity in networking with other mom clinicians about your online therapy practice, so that you don’t have to waste time hunting and searching for referral sources.

  • Opportunity to fill the empty spots in your caseload from women who understand you as a therapist, and a mom.

  • Support from other women clinicians, and experts in building your online therapy practice, so that you can have the time freedom and flexibility that you crave in your career

“It can sometimes feel like we are in competition for clients in this profession, but Village turns this idea on its head and is instead striving to create a feeling of community and mutual help.”

—Marcy J.S. Johnson, LCSW, Village member

“I was searching for a way to build my professional contacts and referral network and stumbled on Ashley’s community [...] It’s the perfect solution for how to network without the awkward! Everyone’s there to do it so there’s no cold calling.”

—Alicia Rozycki, PhD Psychologist, Village member
